Mesa Book Fair a Huge Success

Nearly fifty Arizona authors convened yesterday at the Red Mountain branch of the Mesa Public Library for the annual Mesa Book Fair. Every year the event grows larger and more successful. Not only were lots of writers and readers present, but musicians and face painters for the younger set.

I was fortunate enough to be seated next to Norbert, a darling rat terrier, who is the star of a children’s book, written by Linda Ann Casey Smock! He and his parents posed for my camera. Norbert is only ten months old, but showed the maturity of a much older dog by allowing many, many people to pet him. Linda says she thinks he would be a wonderful service animal, and I have to agree!
